Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I find a snake on my property?
Stay calm and keep a safe distance from the snake. Keep children and pets well away, and do not attempt to catch or kill it. If possible, keep an eye on its location from a safe distance and call us immediately. Our licensed snake catchers are available 24/7 to safely remove and relocate snakes. Queensland authorities advise against attempting to handle or kill snakes, as this increases the risk of being bitten and native snakes are protected.
How quickly can you attend?
We aim to respond as quickly as possible, with our local snake catchers servicing Brisbane West and surrounding suburbs. Response times vary depending on your location and current demand, but emergency callouts are always prioritised.
What if the snake disappears before you arrive?
This happens quite often. Snakes naturally seek shelter and can disappear into gardens, sheds or under buildings. We can still inspect your property, locate likely hiding places and provide advice on reducing the chance of future encounters.
How much does snake removal cost?
Pricing depends on factors such as your location, time of day and the complexity of the removal. Contact us for an upfront quote before we attend whenever possible.
What if my pet has been bitten by a snake?
Treat it as an emergency. Keep your pet as calm and still as possible and take them to the nearest emergency veterinarian immediately. Do not attempt home treatment.
Do you remove snakes from swimming pools?
Yes. We regularly remove snakes from swimming pools, spas and surrounding pool areas. Snakes are capable swimmers and may enter pools while searching for food, water or simply moving through the environment. Sometimes they become trapped and are unable to find a way back out.
If you discover a snake in your pool, keep everyone out of the water, keep pets away and do not attempt to remove it yourself. If it is safe to do so, keep the snake in sight from a safe distance and call us. Our licensed wildlife handlers will safely capture and relocate the snake in accordance with Queensland wildlife regulations.
What if the snake is inside my house?
Keep everyone away from the room if it is safe to do so. Close internal doors to limit the snake's movement and avoid trying to trap or handle it. Call us immediately and we'll respond as quickly as possible.
